The Nana Addo-led administration would have the highest list of ministers and deputies to serve in any government since the beginning of the fourth Republic.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has currently appointed a total number of 110 people to serve as ministers, ministers of state and deputies in his administration.
This is the highest in the country’s history so far.
Out of the total 110, 20 are Regional Ministers and their Deputies, 40 ministers for various ministries, with 50 deputies.
By this number, the Nana Addo-led administration would have the highest list of ministers and deputies to serve in any government since the start of the fourth Republic.
Many have argued that this will be a burden on the country’s finances.
Meanwhile a lot of Ghanaians are worried that the Members of Parliament who have been appointed ministers and deputy ministers will earn a double salary.
Out of the 110 ministerial list 64 of them are MPs. This means the 64 will not take double Salaries. Each will only take One salary per the article 71 holders payment structure.
